This church is very different from those we are used to see in the Quebec landscape. In fact, this church was built in 1922 in the romano-byzantin style. It has a circular shape rather than having a cross shape. The inhabitants of the region combined their efforts during the construction of the church, and it now overlooks the city in all its splendour. The church, which is unique in North America, became a cathedral in 1939. Its indoor and outdoor architecture and decoration will astonish visitors. Come admire the fine stained-glass windows, or the mosaic Way of the Cross that covers the walls. A visit will truly leave you speechless.
